This policy explains what BANTERia collects, why, and your rights. We aim to collect as little as possible.
Account data: your email, a hashed password (we never store it in plain text), your handle and display name, and your football preferences (clubs, competitions). Content you create: posts, reactions, predictions, receipts and battles. Basic technical data: IP address and device/browser information used for security, rate limiting and abuse prevention. Optional notification subscriptions if you enable them.
To run the service (show you relevant matches and conversations), to keep it safe (moderation, rate limiting, preventing abuse), to send essential emails such as password resets, and to improve the product. We do not sell your personal data.
Content may be screened by automated tools, including a third-party moderation model, to detect hate speech and threats. This processes the text of your posts for safety purposes only.
We use service providers (hosting, database, email, football data, AI moderation) that process data on our behalf under contract. We may disclose data if required by law.
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from your profile, which removes your account and associated content (subject to short-lived caches and legal retention). Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your data. Contact privacy@banteria.app to exercise them.
We use a single essential, httpOnly session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
